McCauley Trailers Celebrates 70 Years of Innovation, Craftsmanship & Community

This September, McCauley Trailers marked a milestone that very few family-founded businesses ever reach – 70 years in operation. Since our beginnings in 1955, we’ve grown from a small workshop into one of the most trusted names in trailer manufacturing, serving industries across the UK, Ireland and far beyond.

To celebrate this achievement, we dedicated two special days – the 18th and 19th of September – to honour our past, thank those who’ve supported us, and open the doors to our future.

An Evening of Appreciation – 18th September

Our anniversary celebrations began with a dinner at The Elk, Toomebridge, where we welcomed our top suppliers and customers as well as the McCauley staff. These are the people and businesses who have stood beside McCauley Trailers over the years, helping us deliver quality and innovation time after time.

The evening was filled with companionship and trust. Guests enjoyed a wonderful meal, listened to speeches that reflected on our company’s journey, and of course, took to the dance floor. More than just a party, it was a night of gratitude – recognising the partnerships that have shaped who we are today.

Opening Our Doors to the Public – 19th September

The following day marked a historic first for McCauley Trailers: we opened our doors to the public.

Visitors were invited to explore our factory through guided tours, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at how our trailers are built – from design and engineering right through to the finished product. Our team hosted Q&A sessions throughout the day, giving people the chance to learn more about the craftsmanship, technology, and dedication that goes into every McCauley trailer.

It was also the perfect opportunity to unveil our new factory facilities and share our future plans. From expanded production capabilities to new product developments, we’re looking ahead with ambition and excitement for the decades to come.

The turnout was overwhelming – with families, customers, suppliers, and community members all walking through our doors. For many, it was their first time seeing the scale of our operation, and we were humbled by the interest, support, and encouragement we received.

70 Years and Beyond

Seventy years in business is no small achievement. It represents generations of hard work, innovation, and commitment to quality. From our earliest trailers to the cutting-edge models we produce today, one thing has remained constant: our dedication to building equipment that people can trust.
