McCauley Trailers Attend MEGA Explore Engineering Expo

On October 18th, McCauley Trailers had the incredible opportunity to participate in the first Explore Engineering event in the Mid Ulster area, located in Magherafelt. Organised in partnership with MEGA and the Magherafelt and Rural Learning Partnership Careers Committee, this event aimed to ignite the spark of curiosity and interest in young minds, particularly Year 10 pupils aged 13/14, before they make their GCSE subject choices.

The Explore Engineering Expo held at Meadowbank Sports Arena was not just another career day; it was a dynamic and hands-on experience designed to introduce students to the world of engineering, manufacturing, and innovation. We were proud to be a part of this initiative to inspire the next generation of engineers.

The Explore Engineering event was a great success, with many students expressing real interest in the engineering industry. There were approximately 1,200 pupils in attendance throughout the day, representing several local schools. This initiative allowed McCauley Trailers and other companies to connect with young minds and inspire them towards potential careers in manufacturing and engineering.

In the car park, students had the chance for a 'show and tell' experience, with machinery on display offering a closer look. We brought along our GP25 Dump Trailer, previously featured at the Ploughing Show, as is pictured below.
