Power Generation Specialist Chooses MAC Platform Trailer

One of the UK and Ireland’s leading power generation specialists has recently taken delivery of a MAC Tri-Axle Platform Trailer. The customer, who is based in Carrickfergus and has offices in the UK, provides comprehensive power solutions on a local, national and international scale. The latest edition to the companies fleet - The MAC Platform Trailer – will be used for the safe and efficient delivery of the company’s extensive range of power generating sets.
MAC Platform Trailers are widely used in the haulage industry for the transportation of heavy plant and specialist machinery. Due to the demands of the industries in which they operate, MAC Platform Trailers are robust trailers, which perform consistently and reliably under heavy and prolonged use. The trailers are manufactured to the same specification as the Slemish Platform Trailer – which is renowned in the haulage industry as being a true workhorse trailer – following MAC Trailers acquisitions of Slemish Trailers in 2009.
Although a simple and uncomplicated trailer at heart, with the MAC Platform Trailer there is no lack of attention to operator’s requirements with Granning or BPW axles, EBS braking, front lift axle, mudguards, LED lights, rear crash bars, landing legs, aluminum side guards, hardwood floor, rope hooks and twist locks coming as standard on all trailers.
As with all MAC Trailers, MAC Platform Trailers are built to meet the specific needs of their operators. The trailers come with a full list optional extras and individual requirements are reviewed by MAC's in-house design team to ensure operators get the most from their MAC Trailer. Custom specification for the Power Generation specialists included a longer bed length, solid demountable headboard and extra twist locks. The customer also requested no lift axle and no timber slots as included in the standard specification.
MAC Tri-Axle Platform Trailers have a carrying capacity of 44 tonnes gross and are built to meet all EU standards. Extendable versions of the trailer are also available making them ideal for the transportation of heavy and cumbersome machines.
