MAC Trailers have recently delivered three commercial trailers to a Surrey based haulage firm. The trailers included 1x MAC CAT2 Step Frame Low Loader delivered in November and 2x MAC Tri Axle Platform Trailers delivered in December.

MAC Step Frame Low Loaders have been designed with practicality in mind and are widely recognised for their low unladen weight, strength and stability. The CAT2 Step Frame has a carrying capacity of 58 tonnes gross and benefits from larger axles and a heavier construction of the side chimes, cross-members, floor and chassis than the CAT1 Step Frame. As with all MAC Step Frames, cross members are constructed through the trailers chassis to achieve optimal strength and the considered position of the tying point’s mean these trailers are safer and easier for operators to use than many alternatives currently being offered. The customer’s MAC CAT2 Step Frame came with the additional extras of: SAF axles, 9m in width, flip toe hydraulic ramps, LED rear hamburger lights, fog lights, a tapered neck and additions D-rings.

MAC Platform Trailers are built to meet the specific needs of operators working in the haulage industry. These trailers are manufactured to the specification of Slemish Platform Trailers, following McCauley Trailers Ltd’s acquisition of the firm in 2009. The specification of MAC Platform Trailers includes: air suspension, LED lights, timber post slots, galvanized timber posts, lift axle, EBS, hardwood floor, headboard, rope hooks & ferry rings, twist locks and alloy/steel crash rails. The two trailers ordered by the customer also came with: BPW axles, raise lower valve, twist locks and suzies on the headboard.

MAC Trailers are happy to customise trailers to meet operator’s requirements; be it by designing a new trailer or adding additional features. For more information on MAC Step Frame Low Loaders or MAC Platform Trailer, please contact head office on: +44 (0) 28 7965 9191
